Laxmi Devi Computer Center, Sujanpur Tihara, Himachal Pradesh
After successful running projects in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab, the Ganga Sewa Sanstha started a project at Sujanpur Tihara villager under Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. The project was started on November 1, 2011 in the form of Lakshmi Devi Computer Centre. The Centre prominently provides training in basics, internet, programming language, etc. After computer, a tailoring centre was started on November 1, 2012. The Tailoring centre, named after the late Harvansh Lal Gupta, provides training to the girls coming from various adjoining villages. About 30 boys and girls receive training at the project today. A committee of 12 local people has been constituted for smooth functioning of the project. The committee is headed by Shri Dinesh Gupta, who actively looks after the project. The prime objective of the project is to help the underprivileged children getting best education so that they stand on their own feet. Till now more than 500 boys and girls have received training of computer and tailoring.
