Formation of Gangaram Motiram Goel Charitable Trus

The journey of Gangaram Motiram Goel Charitable Trust began on January 18, 1994 with the clear objective of uplifting the underprivileged people, especially the women. To begin with a Homeopathic dispensary named as "Keshav Aushdhalaya" was started at Jain Colony in Uttar Nagar colony of Delhi on March 4, 1995.

Since the Trust had planned many more activities and the space available in Uttar Nagar was falling short, a plot measuring 650 squire yards was purchased at Rajendra Park in Nangloi. The building constructed on the plot was inaugurated by the then working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Shri Ashok Singhal. In the beginning a tailoring centre was started on October 18, 1996.

Encouraged by the initial results, the Trust added some more activities in the project including Bal Sanskar Kendra, Coaching Centre and Embroidery Centre on October 19, 1997. An Adult Literacy Centre was also started on January 14, 1998. Similarly on April 28, 1998 a computer training centre was started after getting recognition from the government. On October 14, 1998 senior RSS Pracharak Shri Shri KS Sudarshan inaugurated Goel Pathological Lab and Library in the same building.

Finally, the Trust started two types of tailoring centres (Diploma and Non-Diploma), one Embroidery Centre, Boys and Girls Sanskar Kendra, Coaching Centre, Adult Literacy Centre, Computer Training Centre and Bhajan Mandali in the same building. All these projects have transformed the lives of thousands of people so far. It needs special mention here that the guidance and cooperation of Sewa Bharati played a key role in the success of all these projects. Gangaram Motiram Goel Charitable Trust was renamed on January 17, 2002 as Gangaram Motiram Goel Sewa Sansthan (Regd). It was later renamed as Ganga Sewa Sanstha to spread the work all over the country.
